Natalia is learning new things while living on the farm. Saturday was our "farm day" so she spent the morning picking up the apples that had fallen from the trees (most of which had bugs in them so she screamed the whole time).
James playing with the Big Boy Toys:
We save our uneaten food and give it to the cows, chickens, and goats. Natalia was nervous around the cows but is now getting more comfortable!

Cheerleading Fundraiser
Making money for the Cheer Team!
As Courtney was slaving away with the hot oil in the back, Natalia dusted elephant ears with cinnamon-sugar and gave them to happy customers. James was the "Salesman of the Year" and kept a line of at least 20 people all night. 4.5 hours of elephant ears but her uniforms paid for! Way to go Walton team!
James, Natalia, and new friends Hannah and Emily!

Natalia! Maria! Gemperle! Ortiz!!!!!
Friday marked the end of first week of school - Natalia was introduced in front of the entire student body (1800). Her arrival was accompanied with much shouting (mostly my husband)
A new home
This morning we awoke in our new home! The sun was just coming up over the corn and butternut squash (my favorite). There is something special about being able to see the sunrise from your living room. After two and half years of apartment dwelling, the open spaces are a welcomed blessing.
Now if I can only find my cell phone charger...I'm sure it's in a box here somewhere

First Day of School
Natalia started school on Tuesday. We missed the bus because I looked at the wrong bus schedule. It worked out fine, though, because James and I got to take her and finish paperwork at the school. We introduced her to some people so she wouldn't be alone during the day.
Yesterday was her first full day. She rode the bus, figured out her locker, got to all her classes (with the help of some friends) ate lunch with friends, and came home on the bus. Great job, girl!!

Moving
We're moving on Saturday! We are busy busy packing and cleaning and getting rid of things we don't need.
This is James and Natalia preparing the couches to be moved. Everyone is so helpful.
We're moving to where Dan and Andrea were living, at the farm! We'll have twice as much living space and have a yard! A BIG one! With corn and squash and friends living next door. We're so excited.

Another Day in our Life...
Dan and James went to the river to see if the canoe would float. It did. But this was the funny part:
Thank God for that LeBeron!
Baby Rainwater was born! Ella Grace was born to Dan and Andrea on August 28. She is healthy and Andrea isn't pregnant any more (I've really only known her to be pregnant).
