Homer, Alaska

Driving from Anchorage to Homer

James and his mom, Sue

Natalia enters Homer....

The white "land" behind Natalia is the frozen lake. We drove on the lake!

The...beach...is...so...cold....

But not too cold for the Sea Otters!

The location where James asked Courtney to marry him. Now we return with our Spaniard and baby-on-the-way!

Getting ready for Thanksgiving Dinner!

James, Natalia, and Jesse (James' older brother) playing games at James' mom's house.

The greatest husband in the world. Sue's house is above him on the left.

The beach below Sue's house.

The beach with a view of Mt. Augustine, a 10,000ft (3,048m) active island volcano that last erupted in the late 10980s.

Walking on the beach, helping Natalia with her Math homework.

Walking on Water?

Fun in Alaska!!

Is that snow with a pink hat on? Oh, no. It's Natalia wearing white. Don't fall in head first or we'll lose you!

Homer. Majestic to say the least.

Life on the Farm

Natalia is learning new things while living on the farm. Saturday was our "farm day" so she spent the morning picking up the apples that had fallen from the trees (most of which had bugs in them so she screamed the whole time).

James playing with the Big Boy Toys:

We save our uneaten food and give it to the cows, chickens, and goats. Natalia was nervous around the cows but is now getting more comfortable!

Cheerleading Fundraiser

Making money for the Cheer Team!
As Courtney was slaving away with the hot oil in the back, Natalia dusted elephant ears with cinnamon-sugar and gave them to happy customers. James was the "Salesman of the Year" and kept a line of at least 20 people all night. 4.5 hours of elephant ears but her uniforms paid for! Way to go Walton team!

James, Natalia, and new friends Hannah and Emily!
